I have a list of hundreds of cities and the distance between them in miles. I need to estimate how long it would take to fly between those cities. I don’t have the time to manually lookup every flight combination, so just want to estimate the best I can based on the distance. Any ideas?

I noticed that my boss uses scratchpaper for in-flight records (private jet he operates himself). He never goes international or anything. I was trying to find a logbook for him that will not have useless columns such as currency log etc. Just in-flight info. Plain and simple. Is there such a thing? And where can I purchase it?

I’m starting college soon and I’m going to be majoring in aviation mangement and flight operations. I was wondering what does the FAA flight physical entail for a student who is having it for the first time? (does it require a blood test, special exams, etc.)

Hi!

How often are stewardesses scheduled on the same flight, i.e. If the fly on a Friday from Frankfurt to Athens, how soon will they be scheduled on that flight again.

Is there any way to find out about the scheduling times and flights, if you are not working for that airline? Are they allowed to give out this information or is that confidential? I mean can I call them up and ask for such info?

Thanks!
Stephan

I am looking at going to Airline Transport Professionals for flight training taking the full Career pilot program with the private add on. I want to go there mainly for their regional carrier agreemnet program. I really don’t want to spend $63K on it but i don’t want to have to wait 5 years to get a job.

In commercial aircraft that are equipped with a Flight Management Computer (FMC) are flight guidance inputs transferred to the auto-pilot?
I have also seen a similar instrument reffered to as a MCDU (Management Control Disply Unit) and it occupies the same space on the control pedestal as the FMC.
I know that these instruments provide and calculate information on ETA’s fuel management, flight planning etc. But does it actually provide command to the autopilot? And if so, can an entire course be planned and be used to command the AP?
How does the Pilot know when various waypoints have been reached or other criteria have been met?
I may have confused the FMC and MCDU.
