If there are no technical problems with the plane, then there is still a 33% probability that the flight is delayed due to all other reasons. What is the probability that the flight is delayed?

The solutions manual says 0.3568 but I can’t seem to get that answer. Could some one please explain how to do this problem? Thanks.

I will absolutely not sedate with benadryl, etc. The first thing people tell me to do is to sedate her by giving her medicine that makes her drowsy. I won’t do that. I am looking for some fun entertaining ideas to keep her busy during the flight!! Thanks!

I am presuming they await intructions from the flight deck. What if the flight deck crew are incapacitated on impact.

Do the flight attendants make the decision to evacuate? How do they know when to act if they hear nothing from the flight deck crew? Can they over ride orders from the flight deck or can they simply do what they feel is right at any given time in the interests of safety?
