So a week after I booked a flight to Jamaica for this next August, my friend invited me to be a groomsman in his wedding and I need to change my return flight. I bought the flight through Orbitz and the flight is with Delta airlines. What’s the best way to go about re-booking the flight to avoid as many fees as possible?

You don’t have a whole lot of options. You will have to call Orbitz and request the change since they own the reservation. They will probably charge you a change fee plus any change in airfare since the time of booking.

this is EXACTLY why you NEVER book through those cheap sites such as Orbitz, Travelocity, Priceline ect…..if you need to change dates or change names, you are screwed.

If you can change your dates (and that is if), then you will need to ring Orbitz and they will charge you a lot. Airlines do the same but those cheap websites charge a lot more for changes ect than the airlines directly.

Thats why you only ever book through the OFFICIAL airline website or you local licenced travel agent.
