sapphrine_tearz asked:

I have a flight at 9:30am tomorrow. Is there a time that is considered “too early” to let me in through security, bag check, etc.?

Usually, in early flights especially, if you come a little early or way to early, and there is another flight that is not fully booked, they will put you on that flight. I think there is a 1$ upgrade fee if that happens to you. But no, as long as you dont come at like 1:30AM, you will be fine. So whatever time you get there, you will get on your flight, or maybe even an earlier one, especailly if you are going to a larger city.

The earliest my local airport lets people through security is at 4:15 am…

Southwest let me on my last flight about 28 minutes before scheduled take-off… they also gave us as many pretzels as we could carry, and didn’t charge a baggage fee, I so totally want to fly with them again.

Some airports are open 24 hours a day and others are open early a.m. to late night. More important is 1st what time is the check in/curbside check hours for the airline you are using? That is how your bags are handled and if you didn’t do on-line check in that is also how you get your boarding pass. You MUST have a TSA approved picture ID when you check luggage, get boarding pass and go through security. Only passengers with a boarding pass and approved current picture ID are allowed through security.

Go to your airline website and the airport website that you are using for all of the detailed answers to your question concerning times.
