Brett Sadowski asked:

I am a USNA grad and going into medical school this year. I am trying to get more information about becoming a flight surgeon and want to know how it effects my service obligation. I know that my USNA time make me owe 5 years and my HPSP time I will owe an additional 4. Residency won’t count, but does the training I receive to become a flight surgeon add to my service obligation? Thanks for your help.

I doubt seriously that anybody here can answer that question. I would strongly suggest you contact the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth,VA and see if they can route you to the proper contact.
